Multiple active Chapters keep the students engrossed in engaging activities throughout the year. The Chapters always have multiple universities and colleges under them and this creates a student network stopping at no borders. This cross-cultural interactions not only help students build an effective network but also help them in learning new things constantly. Interacting with others has been one of the major sources of knowledge transmission since ages and this helps in keeping it alive.
IETE
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India’s leading recognized professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. Founded in 1953, it serves more than 69,000 members through various centers, whose number is 57, spread all over India and abroad. The Institution provides leadership in Scientific and Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing electro-technology. The IETE conducts and sponsors technical meetings, conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement opportunities to its members.
ISTE
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the premier non-profit organization serving educators and education leaders committed to empowering connected learners in a connected world. ISTE serves more than 100,000 education stakeholders throughout the world. ISTE membership is a powerful way for educators to connect with peers, share knowledge and ideas, and help lead the transformation of education. ISTE also offers innovative ed tech resources to support professional learning for educators and education leaders.
CSI
Formed in 1965, the Computer Society of India (National) has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path during its formative years. Today, the CSI has 66 chapters all over India, 381 student branches, and more than 40000 members. The promotion of Information Technology as a profession is the top priority of CSI today.
ISHRAE
The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 7,500 Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors. ISHRAE conducts Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Exhibitions throughout the country with both national and international participants to discuss, promote and display the state of the art technologies, systems, products and services. ISHRAE student chapters in more than 150 engineering colleges encourage students to opt for careers in the HVAC&R industry. ISHRAE organizes ACREX INDIA, the largest international exposition in South Asia on the Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Ventilation and Building services industry. Held annually, ACREX is considered to be a major opportunity to showcase the latest technologies / innovations, and provide a platform for buyer- seller meet for technical & commercial personnel in the HVAC& R field.
ISNT
The two NDT professional bodies viz. “Non-destructive Testing Society of India”, registered at Calcutta on 19th day of July, 1972 and “Indian Institute of Non-destructive Inspection Engineering” registered at Madras on 9th March, 1981 came to be known as “Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing”. It is a non-profit organization and is registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies, Registration Act, 1975 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1975) Regd. No.49 of 1981. The Indian Society for Non-destructive Testing (ISNT) is the society for NDT professionals and practitioners which offer invaluable resources, information and linkages for industrial quality development and professional development to its members.
The objective of the Society is to promote the awareness of NDT Science and Technology through education, research and exchange of technical information within the country and internationally to its members and other professionals using NDT. The family of ISNT has more than 5000 strong members. It is a diverse and dynamic family of professionals representing NDT technicians, scientists, engineers, researchers, manufacturers and academicians – all dedicated to improve product safety and reliability. These specialists represent virtually every industry and discipline that may benefit from NDT technology. ISNT holds periodic seminars and workshops on topics relating to NDT methods and applications, as well as exhibitions displaying cutting edge NDT products and services.
